Bali Masari Villas & Spa

Bali Masari Villas & Spa is perched above a stunning Petanu River valley ravine close to the village of Sukawati. Private plunge pools are just one of the many perks of staying in these 12 traditional Balinese villas.

The types of timeshares available here are four luxury double rooms suitable for couples or small families, six two bedroom family rooms known as Cempaka, and two luxury suite rooms called Jempiring. The Cempaka villas contain two twin beds and a larger king sized bed, while the Jempiring villas boast marble floors, private dining areas, and high traditional thatched roofs called alang alang.

The breathtaking views from each villa's private patio or balcony feature either the mountains, Petanu River, or lake of this rural corner of Bali. When the weather gets chilly, guests can warm up in front of private fireplaces before tucking into the down comforters and Select Comfort mattresses adorning each bed. First run films are frequently broadcasted on the large LCD satellite televisions.

This property may seem like an isolated oasis, but guests can still stay connected to the outside world with either wired or wireless high speed internet access. Large refrigerators, freezers, and microwave ovens are part of each kitchen. Guests can relax with music from a CD player while soaking in private spa tubs or choose between rainfall or handheld showerheads in the bathroom. Bidets, bathrobes, and double sinks are other luxurious bathroom amenities.

The full service spa may be one of the main attractions, but guests can also enjoy massages in the privacy of their own rooms. A health club also helps guests stay in shape during their stay here. One bar is located in the lounge, while the other is situated beside the expansive outdoor swimming pool.

Guests can eat at a riverside terrace café or a larger restaurant serving both European and Asian cuisine. Complimentary breakfasts and room service are also available. Staff can help guests exchange currency, provide concierge services, or arrange for tours of Sanur, Ubud, and other nearby areas.

The community of Ubud, 20 minutes by car from Bali Masari Villas & Spa, may only have about 30,000 people, but contains a large percentage of Bali's cultural landmarks. Another nearby town, Pejeng, boasts the world's biggest single-cast bronze kettle drum, the Moon of Pejeng.

Most tourists first fly to this beautiful part of Bali through Denpasar's Bali Ngurah Rai Airport, then drive the 35kms to Ubud. Guests who stay at Bali Masari Villas & Spa should be aware of Nyepi, a day in March when absolute silence is observed across Bali.
