Sapphire Beach Club

The sizeable Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club has a prime position on the livelier, Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Here, you can expect sound accommodation and friendly service a stone’s throw from the private beach. There’s a good variety of rooms and nearby attractions, plus the airport is just a few kilometres away.

Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club has its own stretch of private beach and is also foot distance from a couple of other nice beaches and the Cupecoy marina. It sits in tropical grounds and comes with two, well-set pool areas, making it appealing to all types of visitor.

Existing timeshare owners and holiday guests of the Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club consistently praise the place on its spacious units, sea views, tasty restaurant food and the very friendly staff. Along with the breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Sapphire Café, there is also a minimart with fresh croissants, and units come with kitchenette.

There is a large range of rooms here (around 180) in various configurations, overlooking the pool and sea, or facing the tropical gardens. These are well furnished, though not overly done or garish, with cosy bedrooms and a large, bright lounge area. Satellite TV, microwave oven, hairdryer and an iron are standard and there are also useful extras, like an in-room safe and a data port.

Along with the main swimming pool, which has a children’s section and central island, is a smaller pool beautifully set amid nature. A fully equipped gym, wellness centre with Jacuzzi and a business centre are also on site and the concierge is happy to organise trips to the likes of Paradise Peak or St Maarten Park.

Princess Juliana International Airport is just three kilometres from the Wyndham Sapphire Beach Club and is a busy airport of the Caribbean region with flights from all over. Some timeshare owners also come in via cruise boat, which docks farther east at Philipsburg, the main town featuring an array of shops, restaurants, bars and casinos and beaches.

With the location of Wyndham Sapphire, you are also well positioned for exploring the Simpson Bay Lagoon; the water is just a short walk away. From the lagoon you can head into stunning Mullet Bay, with its many nooks and crannies and golf course. Also close at hand is the quieter French part of ‘Saint Martin’. Fewer people visit this part of the island and it has quieter beaches and a laidback vibe.
